Gladiatus and Katsuro browser games PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lifestyled

Do you play online browser games? Well, I do, so if you would like to help me there are two links which you can click and you'd be "robed" (not in reality, of course). The first link is for a game called Katsuro, it's some samurai game, and another is a well known Gladiatus. When you click these links you'll get a message that I've robbed you and than you'll get a chance to register with the games. Just pay attention to not login to these bosnian/croatian servers because they are not in English of course. Besides these two games I used to play OGame but I realized that you really need to be a hard core waster of time to play this game so I gave up. The same is with Travian.

Swine Flu PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lifestyled

We are all concerned about the swine flu, which is officially pandemic. If you are on trip, like I am going to be in a few days, you are faced with totally different pattern of behaviour than suggested by WHO. People often sneeze without covering mouth and nose, or they sneeze in their hands and touch all that can be touched, they sneeze  when around food,  and you can not avoid the crowd. So, what's your way to protect yourself? Wearing a mask is suggested. I'm not sure how much a simpla mask is going to protect you from microscopic germs, I always imagine would it protect me from toxic gasses, and I think it wouldn't. Another solution is taking a vaccine or an antiviral. I don't know about the vaccine, but if I am going to avoid the last option, which is to stay at home, I might consider taking a vaccine. But I'd rather wait to see what happens, since vaccine started many controversy discussions. I'm not a person who easily gets scarred and I am not the one who believes in conspiracies, but also, I am not among the first ones who are afraid of swine flu and are going to take a vaccine just because somebody said it helps. And why should we be afraid? Yes people are dying, but as I noticed (and I must admit that I didn't follow news and media about it) usually people die if they are already sick of some other disease. It is similar to HIV in a way. People usually die of another disease than of the H1N1 virus. If they were healthy, they'd probably survive if taken care of at a right time.

Five SEO tips when exchange links PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lifestyled

Having a site is a great thing. But it can be a burden sometimes. When you own a site there are people who would like to exchange links with you. I usually don't do that and here I'll list several reasons why.

1. I've got penalized once. Not for this site but for one of my sites I had in the past. And I didn't rush in my SEO for that site. Just exchanged few links and made several blog comments... I never got up for the keyword I "forced". Luckily, I was penalized only for the keyword I forced, not my site at whole.

2. Many link exchange requests I get don't offer a good deal. For instance, I used to have site with Page Rank 4. They wanted me to place their link on PR4 but they offer me to place my link on their links page with PR1, with tons of links or with links not relevant to my niche. Well, don't get confused with this site, this one doesn't have any Page Rank yet (January 2010), but as soon as it gets a PR, I'd start getting silly offers like that.

Obama peacemaker PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lifestyled

What, Obama got a Nobel Prize? Did he establish peace? Did he end wars his land caused? OK, he said something like: 'We can't confront talibans with messages of peace', and 'Hitler wasn't stopped by and act of peace'. And I agree with what Obama said, I really do. But you can't get a Nobel Prize for peace if you are at war, no matter how right you are, or how 'necessary' war was. Imagine this situation:

A pack of lions attacked an African tribe. Obama comes and kills ten lions. Would he get a prize for protecting animal rights? No matter how just his actions were, or how brave he was by protecting a tribe saving human lives, women and children, he no way could be praised for defending animal rights. He might get a Nobel for protecting human rights or a Medal of Honour, and I might respect that. If he cut 10 acres of a forest in order to reach a plane crash site, he might be praised for saving human lives, but surelly not for protecting environment. I can go on with examples, but I think this is enough. An we are not faced only with present wars. What about Balkan wars during ninety's? Maybe USA helped to stop Yugoslavian wars, but we can debate about it for a very long time. I didn't hear that he apologized for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Maybe he did (here we don't get too many american stuff so I might have missed some of his apologies). I can't say that he is obliged to make apologies but we also have Natives in reservations which is cause by discriminatory politics of USA.

OK, he can not change the past, but surely he can influence the future, and he does it in an awful way by sending an additional 30.000 people to war. Make war to stop war is a strange politics.

I don't want to go too deep into the things I maybe don't understand. At the end I want to say that I 'voted' for Obama, I even joined his FB supporters page. But I realized that he is just an another american president and that he can not take a different politics than former presidents so I left his supporters page... I'm sorry Obama, it seems that you are just another USA president who failed to get american face washed and to get the rest of the world support your politics.
